Task Definition
You have been commissioned by a retired oil executive to build a property on the Kern River just north/east of Bakersfield. The client is leaving the design entirely up to you but he stated specifically that he wants the house to be in one of the following architectural styles styles:
This is a good site for finding a particular style.

It is up to you to research features that are reminiscent of the style he wants. Search the Internet for pictures and text the answer the following questions. Save the pictures in a folder and cut and paste the text into a word document.
Look
for ....floor plans, elevations, pictures, detail drawings, perspectives,
3D models, renderings, quotes from architects, sound bites, etc… anything that
will help you communicate the features of this style to class.
Be
sure to save the websites that you get the information from. You will need
to include them in the resource page of your presentation like you would site references
on a research paper.

Location and Access
You will use the Internet for your information
searching and MS-PowerPoint to present your findings to class in the form of a
presentation. Be sure to save all of
the sites that you feel are good into your favorites.
You
will do this project on your own
You will browse the Internet looking for pages that relate to your topic.

will right click on images and save them to your H:
You
will save the best sites into your “favorites” folder and complete the
assignments outlined in the resources section.

will save any useful resources to your H:\
Use of Information and Synthesis
Save
the PPT presentation in the root directory of your H drive and call it i.e.
“webquest” (
no spaces or capital letters in your file name)

make
your pictures as large as possible
Use
subtle backgrounds-wild background make it difficult to make text stand out
Contrast cool colors with warm colors- outline the text if needed COLOR
WHEEL
Make
your all of your text is very Legible
Use
the title bar for the text- this will create a nice outline view when you
presentation is saved as a webpage.

Do
not overuse
special effects (especially animations).
Having a slide take to long to appear
makes your presentation unprofessional
Do
not use effects that animate individual items on the slide
you should have the entire slide appear at once with the exception of
arrows that will point out specific elements
Use
only fast transitions.
Chose
a common color scheme (that matches your pictures) to give your presentation
unity.
Don't make each slide a different color.
Before
