The California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) is a requirement for all students receiving a high
school diploma. This requirement is not a Kern High School District option; it is California
law. The test was developed and the testing schedule is imposed by the California Department of Education.

The CaHSEE requirement will remain in place for the forseeable future.
In addition to this requirement, students graduating from Kern High School District schools need to meet
Kern High School District graduation requirements.
