 Welcome to Mr. Wells' Page

Welcome to Highland High School! I am very happy to serve as your Assistant Principal of Administration and I enjoy working with our dynamic students and outstanding staff.

I joined the staff of Highland High School in December 2003 after serving as a Dean of Students at South High School for four years. Prior to that assignment, I taught Government, Economics and History at Centennial High School for four years. My teaching career started in the Mojave Unified School district where I taught Social Studies, coached Basketball and Volleyball for five years.

A proud Tehachapi High School graduate, I earned degrees from Cuesta College ( A.A.) and California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo ( B.A. Political Science) before entering teaching. I have since studied Spanish in Costa Rica and completed my Masters of Education through Fresno Pacific University.

Our entire staff is committed to providing Highland students with the highest quality education. We are working hard to build upon our recent successes by improving the Rigor, Relationships, Relevance and Recognition in our academic program.

Feel free to contact me to arrange for a visit to our fine campus. GO SCOTS!!!
